Roman Sergeevich Trofimov

Roman Sergeyevich Trofimov (Russian Роман Сергеевич Трофимов; born November 19, 1989 in Leninogorsk ) is a Russian ski jumper. His biggest success is with the Russian team won the silver medal at the Winter Universiade in 2013 Predazzo.

Career

Trofimov began his international career in July 2007 in the FIS Cup in Bischofshofen. From August 2007 he was an integral squad for the FIS Ski Jumping Continental Cup. On 20 December 2008 he succeeded the jump with a 2nd place in Liberec for the first time on the podium. At the Junior World Championship 2009 in Štrbské Pleso he jumped on the normal hill on the 23th Place and reached with the team to 15th place. On February 6, 2010, he started in Willingen first time in the Ski Jumping World Cup, but reached only the 48th place. At the Russian Championships 2010 in Siberia Trofimov won the normal hill and the large hill, each with a clear lead for the title.

Trofimov held on August 10, 2008 to September 13, 2009 the hill record on the K120 the Štrbské Pleso Hills with 101.5 m. At the World Cup Jumping on December 19, 2010 in Engelberg he could achieve his first World Cup points with a 30th place. On November 27, 2011, he won in Kuusamo with the Russian team to third place and thus his first podium.

In the Winter Universiade in 2013 in the Italian Predazzo Trofimov won the silver medal with the Russian team on the normal hill. He also finished second in the individual competitions the twelfth ( normal hill ) and 30 ( large hill ) space.
