Rookie of the Year (award)

Rookie of the Year (German newcomer of the year, rookie ) is a title for the best athlete who is in his first professional season. The award is in many North American professional leagues such as the Major League Baseball ( MLB - MLB Rookie of the Year Award ), the National Basketball Association (NBA - the NBA Rookie of the Year Award), the National Hockey League ( NHL - Calder Memorial Trophy ), the Major League Soccer ( MLS - MLS Rookie of the Year Award) and the National Football League (NFL - NFL awarded Rookie of the Year ).
