Rose Marie Bravo

Rose Marie Bravo ( born January 13, 1951) is an American manager, who became known as the director of several major fashion company. Currently, she serves as Vice Chair on the Board of the British firm Burberry, which she ran from 1997 to 2006.

Bravo was born the daughter of an Italian -born hairdresser with own salon in New York City to the world and attended the Bronx High School of Science and Fordham University in the Bronx. Following their cum laude degree in English literature she gained experience in the fashion business as a buyer for the department store Abraham and Strauss in Long Iceland in 1971, Macy's in 1974, after its acquisition by I. Magnin there until the bankruptcy of Macy's in 1992. Five years as a manager at Saks Fifth Avenue Burberry decided to recruit them, Chief Executive where she sat a comprehensive renewal process in motion.

To the success of its strategy contributed the obligation of Kate Moss as an advertising medium and the setting of the then undertook at Gucci designer Christopher Bailey. The product range has been greatly enlarged, especially the newly created perfume division met with great customer response.

2005 Burberry announced that Bravo will leave her post at the former Liz Claiborne manager Angela Ahrendts. After their six-month training period Bravo mid- 2006 took over the role of Deputy Managing Director.
