The Rötenbach is about eight kilometers long river in the Black Forest, the left and east ends at Alpirsbach - Rötenbach in the district of Freudenstadt in the Kinzig.

Course

The Rötenbach springs southwest of Rötenberg (Black Forest ), a little haven of Aichhalten in the district of Rottweil, Baden- Württemberg. On his about 8 ½ miles long way to Alpirsbach, Freudenstadt district, it flows about 270 vertical meters down to the valley. Because of its steep slope of about 32 ‰ stood on its banks once many mills. From the entrance to the precincts of Rötenberg the river flows to the north and retains this direction at also largely behind until he turns behind the hole mill to west. In Alpirsbacher district of Rötenbach the Rötenbach opens from the left in the Kinzig.

Inflows

  • Issue Bach, from right in front of the blueberry mill in the beginning of the V-shaped valley, 2.0 km long.
  • Krebsbach, from the right shortly thereafter, 2,4 km long.
  • Wäschbach, from right below the hole mill on the west bend of the run is 2.2 km long.
