Roude ( German Ruhde ) is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Martna ( Martna vald ) in Lääne in Estonia.

Population and location

The village has 75 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011). It lies on the River Kasari ( Kasari Jõgi ).

The town and its two goods were first mentioned in records in 1519 under the name Ruden Ruden maior and minor.

Väike Roude

The Good of Small Ruhde ( Väike Roude ) originated in the 16th century. Last owner before the expropriation in the course of the Estonian land reform in 1919 was the Baltic German nobility Harry von Maydell.
