Roveredo

Roveredo ( German outdated Rofle or Ruffle ) is a municipality in the district of Roveredo in the district Moesa the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland.

Geography

The community is near Bellinzona in the lower part of the Misox (Italian: Mesolcina ). It consists of several hamlets. Right of Moësa lie Plaza ( 298 m above sea level. M. ), Beffeno (309 m above sea level. M. ) and Carasole (434 m above sea level. M. ). The majority of the community, however, is on the left side of the river up to the border with Italy. The hamlet of San Giulio, Guerra, Tovedo, Ai Rogg, Rugno and San Fedele lie on the valley floor on a debris cone of the river. They have grown together and form the center of the town.

The Val Traversagna and its side valleys comprise most of the community area. Of the total municipal area of ​​nearly 39 square kilometers are 2,907 hectares ( or 75 percent) of forest and woodland cover. Additional 519 acres are unproductive area (mostly mountains in the eastern part of the municipality ). Of the 333 hectares of agriculturally usable floor almost 70 percent are Alpwirtschaftsgebiet. The settlement area includes the remaining 119 hectares of the municipal territory.

The Alpe di Rescignaga, which is part of the territory of San Vittore is almost entirely enclosed by Rover Eder municipality.

Population

The end of 2004 the city counted 2,229 residents, of which 1'882 ( = 84.47 percent), Swiss nationals.

Policy

The community policy in Roveredo since 2007, dominated by the confrontation between the center-right parties FDP and CVP on the one hand and the SP, SVP and the protest movement " Nuove Risorse " on the other. Because the municipal government is largely paralyzed since 2012 because of the disunity of the two political camps, Roveredo is since 2013 one appointed by the State government commissioner, Lorenzo Anastasi, managed.
