Roy Barcroft

Roy Barcroft (actually Howard Harold Ravenscroft, born September 7, 1902 in Weeping Water, Nebraska, † November 28, 1969 in Hollywood, California ) was an American actor.

Barcroft participants was the First World War, when he first took up a military career in the eye. In the 1920s he experimented with a wide variety of jobs; he came quite late to acting and in 1935 to Hollywood, where he first as an actor any kind of roles assumed to have a day's wage. He usually was used in Western as top villain, the Brain, where the brawny, usually mustachioed actor could play off his skills. In 1941, he came to a contract with Monogram Pictures, where he among other things, was seen in the series about the Rough Rider. From 1943 on, he spent ten years contract player at Republic Pictures, which as you possibly put him in so many movies. His activities more and more into television, where he appeared from the mid- 1950s moved Barcroft as a guest performer in different series, but also had recurring roles as in Spin & Marty as " Colonel Jim Logan " or in Gunsmoke as Kramladenbesitzer " Roy ". His filmography includes over 375 roles.
