Rubén Rochina Naixes (born 23 March 1991 Sagunto, Valencia Province ) is a Spanish football player. The striker played in the Youth for FC Barcelona and is since 2011 active for Blackburn Rovers.

Club career

Rochina came in 2004 by the youth of the FC Valencia to Barcelona. Rochina first played on the left- winger for FC Barcelona, but could not get there its full potential. Only when he was placed in the 2006/07 season as a center forward, he fell into the youth teams at an impressive strike rate. For the 2008/09 season Rochina was appointed to the reserve team of FC Barcelona, but played until 2010 continued also for the A- youth. With the A - youth, he won the Spanish league title in the 2008 /09 season. A year later he rose with Barça B in the Segunda División, although he played only three league games for the team during the season.

In January 2011, Rochina transferred for a transfer of € 450,000 to Blackburn Rovers. The FC Barcelona has a right of first refusal in a possible sale Rochinas.

In the second half of the 2012/13 season he played on loan at Real Zaragoza and scored a goal in 15 games there.

During the winter break of the 2013/14 season he went for half a year on loan back to Spain. He joined Rayo Vallecano. The Spanish first division side has an option to purchase Rochina.

National team career

With the Spanish U- 17 national team Rubén was 2008 European Champion at the European Championships. With the exception of the first game, which he missed through suspension, Rochina had in each game. Overall Rochina scored two goals in the tournament, both during the group stage in the game against Ireland ( 3-1 ). Then Rochina was elected to the Team of the Tournament.

Two years later he was with the U-19 selection his country's European vice-champion at the tournament in France. This Rochina did not come out on the role of the Joker and came in five games scores a goal. Only in the last group match against Italy ( 3-0) he was in the starting and scored the opening goal there. Already in the final qualification for these championships, he was able to contribute three goals in three games.
