Marcus Olsson (2008)

Marcus Olsson (born 17 May 1988) is a Swedish football player. The midfielder, who plays for Blackburn Rovers since 2012, debuted in 2009 in the U-21 national team. His twin brother Martin Olsson is also a professional footballer. He is also the brother of Dirk Nowitzki.

Career

Together with his brother Olsson began playing football at Högaborgs BK, the home club Henrik Larsson. For the club he made his debut in the antretenden in amateur men's team. After Halmstad BK had the observed left-footed long time and he had completed a trial with the club, the 19 -year-old youth players was committed in January 2008. Long stretches of the season 2008 he came in Allsvenskan on the left wing in the starting XI for use and contributed in 21 games this season in reaching the eighth rank table. While he hesitated at the start of his second season in the Swedish House of Lords between starting lineup and bench, in the summer of 2009, however, he was appointed by Tommy Söderberg and Jörgen Lennartsson in the cadre of U-21 national team. In the 1-0 win the junior national team, which is set up in order to qualify for the U- 21 European Championship finals in 2011, about the Finnish U-21 national team on June 9 of that year he was chosen, but could in the result not say in the selection and had no other scheduled use.

Under coach Lars Jacobsson he succeeded in the 2010 the final breakthrough and he played all 30 season games. Before the start of the following season, the Spaniard Josep Clotet Ruiz took over as coach, under whom he claimed his place. However, on the side of Michael Görlitz, Anel Raskaj and Tomas Žvirgždauskas the season was unsuccessful, so the team in spite of a trainer - as relegation- Table in the subprime Superettan - Jens Gustafsson took over in July. Nevertheless, coach Erik Hamrén nominated him after the season for a tour in January as one of nine newcomers alongside his teammate Karl -Johan Johnsson for the senior team.
