Running on Empty is an American film drama directed by Sidney Lumet from the year 1987.

Action

Danny Pope is a young man whose parents Annie and Arthur took part in the 1970s active in the anti -war movement. At that time they had blown up a napalm lab in the air. It was a caretaker, of which they knew nothing, seriously injured. Since the time they are on the run and financially supported by an underground network of the movement. Again and again, they need to move and choose new identities.
