Ruud Hesp

Ruud Hesp ( born October 31, 1965 in Bussum ) is a former Dutch football goalkeeper and current goalkeeping coach.

Career

He started his career in 1985 at HFC Haarlem, two years later he moved to Fortuna Sittard, where he played until 1994. He then went for three years to Roda JC Kerkrade. In 1997 he moved to FC Barcelona, ​​which he left in 2000 towards home to Fortuna Sittard in the year. In 2002, he finished his career.

Hesp was represented with the Dutch national team at Euro 1996 and World Cup 1998. But he was the clear No. 3 behind Edwin van der Sar and Ed de Goey, and never came so to use one.

Currently, Hesp goalkeeper coach of the Dutch national team.

His younger brother Danny Hesp was also a professional footballer.
