Ryszard Zbrzyzny

Ryszard Zbrzyzny ( born May 4, 1955 in Lubawka ) is a Polish politician, trade union official and continuously since 1991 Member of the Sejm in the I, II, III. , VI. , V. and VI. Election period.

He finished his studies at the Mining Faculty of the Technical University of Breslau and at the Faculty of computer science and management of the University of Economics in Wroclaw. Since the second half of the 70s he is professionally associated with the KGHM Polska Miedź in Lublin. Since 1991 he has been president of the union for workers in the copper industry.

In the parliamentary elections in 1991, 1993, 1997, 2001 and 2005, he won each on the list of Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej ( Democratic Left Alliance - SLD) one elected to the Sejm. In this election periods, he served as Deputy Chairman of the Sejm Commission for the State Treasurer and a member of the Committee of Inquiry into the privatization of the largest Polish insurance Powszechny Zakład Ubezpieczeń ( PZU ).

From 1998 to 2001 he was a deputy in the Parliament of the Lower Silesia ( Dolny Slask ) Province.

In the 2007 parliamentary elections, he was for the constituency with 11,049 votes Legnica on the list of Lewica i Demokraci ( Left and Democrats - LiD ) once again elected to the Sejm. He is a member of the Sejm commissions for the state treasury in this legislature.

Since 22 April 2008 he is a member of the newly formed group Lewica.
