The history of hockey in Hall begins in the 1950s. Since 2010, play the Saale Bulls Halle, the first team of MEC Halle 04, in the Oberliga Ost. The youth and amateur teams are organized since 2004 in the ESV hall.

History
Hallesches Hockey in the GDR ( 1969-1990 )
The history of the Hall 's ice hockey began in the 1950s when the first time took part in teams on a natural ice rink. After 1967 hockey -grade stadium was opened, in 1969 the BSG structure Halle founded, who participated in two teams after the reduction of the GDR Oberliga in the " Best Discovery," the winner of the district championships. New beginning after the turn ( 1990-1999 )

ESC Saale devil Hall (1999 to 2004)

Saale Bulls (since 2004)
The ESC Halle 04 was established by the operators of Hall 's ice rink, Andreas Werkling and Frank Busch and Daniel Mischner and Andreas Haschke, which today are also members of the Executive Board. For the season 2009/ 10, the ESC Hall moved back to the Regional League East after it was revealed that no separate northern group of the league would come about. After a reform of the league for season 2010/ 11, in its own league East was established, the ESC Hall plays again mediocre. In January 2011, the club renamed to better marketing in the region of central German Hockey Club Hall 04. The name Saale Bulls for the first team is maintained.

Participation of players on ESBG All-Star Game
The ESBG All-Star Game takes place every year since 2006 and brings together the best players in the second federal and Oberliga. Before the actual game, the Skills Competition still took place. Competition " fastest runner " won the 2008 Benjamin Thiede with 16.28 seconds.
Venue
Their home games wearing the teams of the MEC Halle 04 and the ESV hall in the People's Bank Arena (formerly the Ice Rink Hall; own notation ice rink ) of which was built in 1957 and finally completely roofed in 1970. In 1990 the hall was closed by TÜV for structural and technical shortcomings. In the following years the stadium was completely renovated and finally re-opened in October 1998.
The stadium has a capacity of 4,920 seats for hockey games and is also used by Hall 's Inline Skate Club and of the Boxabteilung Eintracht Hall. In addition, the hall for public skating is open.
