Sabina Classen

Sabina Hirtz Hankel (born 27 December 1963 Aachen, divorced Classen ) is a German thrash metal singer. In particular, with their activity in the cult band Holy Moses it is one of the most important women of the metal scene and was mainly in the 1980s, one of the few women in the thrash metal scene. She is known for her extremely rough vocal style.

Career

Classen grew up with two younger brothers and sisters in Aachen. At the age of 13 and 14 years, she was active as a reporter for RTL radio. About her uncle, she met bands like The Sweet, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and Motörhead know. Together with her then-boyfriend and future husband Andy Classen she played Uriah Heep - cover in a band called Disaster. Shortly thereafter, in 1981, Andy Classen left disaster and became a member of Holy Moses. During a trial in December 1981, the singer Iggy was thrown out of the band, Sabina Classen took his place.

In 1986 she took part in the X - Mas Project. In the late 1980s she was a presenter of the Metal Mosh broadcast on RTL.

After divorcing her husband Andy Classen Sabina Classen made ​​in 1992 with Holy Moses a break and founded Temple of the Absurd. After two albums, the band broke up in 2000, at the same time formed Classen Holy Moses new. From 1997 she was a presenter for the online broadcast Bullet TV.

Since July 2011, she hosted the reality documentary The Messie team on RTL II, the people who are apparently ill with compulsive hoarding showing off. In addition, they will be seen shortly in the second season of the show " teen in distress " on RTL 2.
