Saïd El Khadraoui

Saïd El Khadraoui ( born April 9, 1975 in Leuven ) is a Belgian politician for the Socialist Party Other ( sp.a ).

Life

El Khadraoui came as the son of a Moroccan father and a Belgian mother lion in the world. He attended St. Peter's College in Louvain and then studied modern history at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. In 1997 he completed his studies with a master and finished in 1998 his additional training in International Relations.

1994 El Khadraoui was chosen as the 19 -year-old for six years in the Leuven City Council. After completing his studies, he took a job as an employee in the office of the then Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Louis Tobback and after his resignation as an employee in the office of his successor, Luc Van den Bossche. After the 1999 elections he was a few months for Johan Vande Lanotte, the then Minister for the Budget, Social integration and social economy operates. He stood as a candidate in the same year for the European Parliament, but could not unite enough votes.

In October 1999, El Khadraoui was included in the diplomatic service and completed part of his education in New York City. In the local elections in 2000 El Khadraoui scored 1306 votes and was appointed alderman in early 2001 in Leuven. In 2003 he was elected for the constituency of lions in the Belgian House of Representatives. After leaving the House of Representatives Kathleen Van Brempt from the European Parliament El Khadraoui moved on 7 October 2003 for the sp.a after and was confirmed in the 2004 European elections and in the 2009 European elections in office. He is a member of the Socialist Group in the European Parliament and the Committee on Transport and Tourism and the Delegation to the Parliamentary Cooperation Committees EU -Armenia, EU -Azerbaijan and EU-Georgia.

Since 2003, El Khadraoui is also a member of the national executive of the sp.a and since 2007 its secretary for international affairs.
