Saint-Eusèbe, Haute-Savoie

Saint- Eusèbe is a commune in the French department of Haute- Savoie department in the Rhône-Alpes region.

Geography

Saint- Eusèbe is located on 638 m above sea level. M., 12 km west-northwest of the city of Annecy ( straight line ). The farming village extends a scenic location in the northern Albanais on an inclined towards the south slope overlooking the valley of Fier.

The area of ​​6.88 km ² municipal area includes a portion of the Genevois. The western boundary runs along the Morge, a right-hand side of the brook Fier. From the creek, the municipality's area extends eastward over a gently rising slope to the undulating terrain between the valleys of the Fier and Usses. With 691 m above sea level. Attractions

The village church of Saint- Eusèbe was built in 1857 in the Gothic Revival style. It has a gilded wooden statue of the Virgin Mary from the 17th century. Places of residence are located in Villard and Tignerant.

Population

With 432 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) Saint- Eusèbe is one of the small towns in the Haute-Savoie region. During the 19th and 20th centuries, the population steadily increased due to high levels of emigration from (1861 were still 622 residents counted in Saint- Eusèbe ). Since the early 1980s, however, a significant increase in population was recorded again.
