Saipa Tehran is an Iranian football club which, although registered in Tehran, but plays its matches in the IPL in Karaj.

History

1989 decided to start their own football team, the Iranian carmaker SAIPA. A team from the fourth Tehran League was bought and managed the walkover in the second regional league, as you bought the license from another team to go in the first Tehran league. There they immediately won the Championship in Tehran and the Tehran Super Cup and qualified for the Azadegan League, the top division of Iran at that time.

In the seasons 1993/1994 and 1994/1995 Tehran Saipa won the Iranian championship, but got off in the season 1995/ 1996. While the club made ​​the chances of promotion, but had to wait until the season 2006/2007 a ​​further major success. In that season the club Ali Daei committed as head coach and was promptly Iranian masters.

In the past season 2009/2010 Saipa Tehran finally finished in eighth place in the standings.
