SAK Klagenfurt

The Slovenski klub atletski or Slovenian AK is an Austrian football club. He is regarded as a business card or identification point of the Carinthian Slovenes. 2011/12 he plays in the regional center.

History

The club was founded in 1970 as Student football club. All the players were students of the BG / BRG for Slovenes in Klagenfurt. Before the founding year of the founding team of Austrian football champions of the DSG ( Diocesan Sports Association ), was under the auspices of the later athletics coach Josef Müller from Maria Elend. In the Year of SAK was without a coach, the players organized themselves first SAK coach of SAK was a season later the sporty founder of SAK Joško Wrolich, the father of Radstar Paco Wrolich. Administratively have at the club was founded and at the start Miha Zablatnik (Secretary = de facto first business manager), helped Valentin Inzko (Chairman in the first two seasons), the current Bleiburger pastor Ivan Olip and from the second season matevž Wieser. Olip was also the first goalie of the SAK.

Target

Club goal of the SAC was to collect at the foundation in 1970, the best Slovene-speaking footballers in Carinthia in a club and ascend to the first division. Today, the SAK is indeed still the elite sports club of the Slovene minority, but has in its ranks a large number of monolingual footballers who appreciate the linguistic and cultural diversity of the SAK. The SAC currently has 230 active footballers, the number is rising.

Venue problems

From the date of incorporation to the sports field question attracts as a major problem by the club's history. The SAC was from 1970 to 2003 to search for shelter and had practically never own a sports field. In the founding year, not a single community was not prepared to grant the SAK, the site permits, and Klagenfurt. This was the SAK then the mayor of the then independent municipality Radsberg / Radiše Ludwig Ogris. This once independent, bilingual church was incorporated in 1977 by Ebental / Žrelec. Therefore, the SAK called in the first year SAK Radsberg. The sports court odyssey of SAK began on a meadow at Radsberg. Because after a heavy rain the field was not playable, got the SAK from KFV no game license and had his first games in Ebental unsubscribe and changed already after 2 months on the Koschatplatz to Klagenfurt. 1976 had the team after Hörtendorf move, returned again in 1998 to the Koschatplatz back and played half a year on the former Police sports field. In 1986 he moved from the SAK Koschatplatz after Annabichl and remained there for almost 15 years as a lodger. Only in 2002 was on the initiative of Dr. Ivan Ramsak the option on the sports field of the BG / BRG to build its own sports center for the Slovenes. In 1992, the SAK built in re- Village / Vidra vas on the initiative of Silvo Kumer a training center with 2 grass pitches. On 1 June 2013, the SAK moved permanently into the SAK Sport Park to Welzenegg in Klagenfurt, is where his future in the official seat of the SAK. The SAK plays with his 230 active since July 1, 2013 following Sportlanlagen: SAK Sport Park Welzenegg (1 turf, 1 artificial turf = central sports facility of the association ), SAK stadium at BRG for Slovenians in the Reichenberger Straße (1 grass), re- Village / Vidra vas ( 2 grass courts ) and Hörtendorf (1 training course ).

Sporty

The Gymnasiastenmannschaft finished the first 5 seasons four times as the second, 1975/76 reached the summit in the first class. The biggest opponents of SAK were at this time of place-name storm German national -minded referees and spectators. Many games back then were more like political events for or against the rights of the Slovene minority as football games.

1978/79 reached the summit in the minor league. A great success was the way into the OFB Cup quarter-finals with a win against the LASK before 2000 spectators in the season 1986 / 87th

In 1992, the SAK its youth development program on new foundations and founded three young centers in lead Castle, Klagenfurt and St. Primus. Today, the SAC also includes the offspring to the top 6 clubs in Carinthia. In the season 1994 /95 SAK played in the Regionalliga Mitte newly founded and grew as the first master of the Regional on even in the Second Division. The stint in the second division lasted only a year ( Season 95 /96).

Currently, the SAK plays in the regional center.
