Salvan

Salvan (Eng. earlier Scharwang ) is a municipality in the district of Saint- Maurice in the French speaking part of the canton of Valais in Switzerland.

Geography

The community is located west of Salvan Martigny in the valley of the Trent. The municipal area is located in the southeast of the northern part of the reservoir Lake Emosson.

Guglielmo Marconi conducted in 1895 in Salvan radio experiments.
