Samuel Wowoah

Wowoah Samuel ( born June 17, 1976 in Buchanan ) is a Swedish- Liberian footballer. The offensive player won with Djurgårdens IF several national titles.

Career

Wowoah began playing football at the Swedish club IFK Lindenberg. About the youth team from Örebro SK he got occasional game appearances for the first team to unterklassig antretenden club Hertzöga BK, before 1998 the second division Motala AIF joined. After twelve goals in 24 games in the second division season 1998 Wowoah changed before the 1999 to Djurgårdens IF in the Allsvenskan. With three goals this season, he could not avoid relegation at the end of the season. On the side of Niclas Rasck, Magnus Pehrsson, Stefan Bärlin and Pierre Gallo he was the best scorer in the club internal subsequent second division season with twelve gates, and contributed greatly to direct resurgence.

Despite the rise Wowoah joined the club and joined the reigning champions Halmstad BK. Here he was, however, missing his eye for goal and soon found himself on the bench again. Therefore, after one and a half seasons, he returned in the summer of 2002 to Djurgårdens IF. In 18 games until the end of the 2002 season, he also contributed to winning the Swedish championship title. On the side of Johan Elmander, Andreas Isaksson, Kim Kallstrom and Stefan Rehn he was also in the starting lineup in the final of the Swedish National Cup against local rivals AIK, after 68 minutes, he was replaced with the later winning goal scorers Louay Chanko. In the following season, he was involved in more than half of the season games and defended with the team the championship.

In February 2004, Djurgårdens IF and the Norwegian club Stabæk IF agreed on a loan contract until the end of the year. At the end of the loan period, he returned to Sweden and signed a contract with IFK Göteborg, who had committed his coach from the time in Norway with Arne Erlandsen. As a regular player on the side of Niclas Alexandersson, Fredrik Risp and Stefan Selakovic he reached with the club in the 2005 behind his former game station Djurgårdens IF the runner-up. For the second year in 16 games for the Klb on the pitch he was leaning against the end of the year from a contract extension in Gothenburg.

Wowoah tried again abroad and joined Shechem to Cypriot club Enosis Neon Paralimni, in a one-year contract signed with an option for a further half of the season. After the expiration of the contract he returned in early 2008 back to Sweden. New club was his first professional Station Örebro SK. In the 2008 season he played in all 30 games and was also in the following years team regular. Therefore, the club extended his contract in the summer of 2010 until the end of 2012.
