1999 Allsvenskan

The Fotbollsallsvenskan 1999 was the 75th season of the highest Swedish football league, Allsvenskan. Between 10 April and 30 October 1999, the Swedish football champions was played in it.

The previous year's Cup winner Helsingborgs IF could refer to last year's champion AIK to second place. With the fourth win of the Von Rosen's Cup in the club's history the team around players like Andreas Jakobsson, Roland Nilsson, Rade Prica and Erik Wahlstedt could end a drought of 58 years without a title.

The traditional clubs and multiple national champion Djurgårdens IF and Malmö FF had to descend directly into the second division, Kalmar FF and Örebro SK occupied the relegation places. While KFF failed there at GAIS, ÖSK succeeded against Assyriska FF following the renewal of relegation.
