1983 Allsvenskan

The Fotbollsallsvenskan 1983 was the 59th season in the highest Swedish football league Fotbollsallsvenskan. Between 16 April and 2 October 1983, the Swedish championship was played.

Like last year, the Master was played in a tournament after the regular time. Could not start AIK as a table first in the championship finals, the team failed in the semi-finals on defending champions IFK Göteborg, who decided at the end of the finale against Östers IF for themselves. Thus, the reigning Cup winner succeeded the ninth victory of the Von Rosen's Cup in the club's history. The climber Mjallby AIF and BK Hacken had directly back into the Division II descend.
