San Benito, Cochabamba

San Benito is a country town in the Cochabamba Department in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

San Benito is a central place of the district ( bolivian: municipality ) in the Province of San Benito Punata. The village is situated on the northern edge of a 15 x 25 km wide fertile plain at an altitude of 2724 meters, eight kilometers south of the Cerro Tuti ( 4102 m), the highest elevation between San Benito and Cochabamba, the capital of the department of the same name.

Geography

San Benito is located in the transition zone between the Bolivian Altiplano in the west and the Bolivian lowlands to the east.
