San Joaquín, Carabobo

San Joaquín is a municipality in the state of Carabobo in the north of Venezuela.

San Joaquin has an area of 127 km ² and 61,000 inhabitants ( 2007). It borders the state of Aragua with the Coast Mountains to the north, the district Diego Ibarra in the east, to the Valenciasee in the south and to the district Guacara in the West.

The capital is San Joaquín. The mayor is Luis Aguiar, who was elected on 23 November 2008 55 % of the vote.
