San Juan (Iruya)

San Juan is a small village in northwestern Argentina. It is part of the Department Iruya in the province of Salta and is 7 km north of the village Iruya, 3 km northeast of the village of San Isidro and 4 km west of the village Chiyayoc.

San Juan is part of the Finca El Potrero. The village has a school ( escuela N ° 4443 ) and lives on tourism and agriculture. In San Juan potatoes and corn are grown and reared geese, goats and sheep.

From Iruya from San Juan can be reached via a steep footpath in parts in about 5 hours.
