San Miguel Island

San Miguel Iceland is an island that belongs to the archipelago of the California Channel Islands. It is with 37.74 square kilometers, the sixth largest of eight islands and is located in Santa Barbara County.

San Miguel Iceland is thirteen miles long and up to six miles wide. From 1850 to 1948 brought ranchers sheep on the island, and later took advantage of the U.S. Navy the island. Today, San Miguel is part of the Channel Islands National Park.

The American writer TC Boyle 's novel of the same name on the island settled ( " San Miguel ", 2012 ).
