San Pedro (Catamarca – Santiago del Estero)

San Pedro de Guasayán (also: San Pedro) is the capital of the department Guasayán in the province of Santiago del Estero in the north-western Argentina. It lies on both sides of the border to the department of Santa Rosa in the province of Catamarca, 124 kilometers from the provincial capital Santiago del Estero and is connected via the Ruta Provincial 64 with her. San Pedro de Guasayán has 1,715 inhabitants (2001, INDEC ), or 23 percent of the population of the department of Guasayán.
