San Vittore, Switzerland

San Vittore is a municipality in the district of Roveredo in the district Moesa the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. It is only a few kilometers from the capital of Ticino Bellinzona.

Geography

The municipality is bordered to the west by the Canton of Ticino and lies on both sides of the Moësa. The municipal area to the left of the river is uninhabited and forested. On the right side of the river, the community draws up far to the north to a height of 2278 m above sea level. M. at Mot Ciarin.

The municipality consists of the village and the outlying village, three kilometers west of Monticello ( 337 m above sea level. M. ) directly to the cantonal border. Of the total municipal area of ​​almost 22 km ² in 1469 ha of woods and forests are covered. Agricultural available are 341 ha and 331 ha are unproductive area (mostly mountains). The remaining 62 ha settlement area.

Belongs to this community a long drawn exclave, the Alpe di Rescignaga, which borders Italy to the south and is completely surrounded by the municipality of Roveredo.
