Sandıklı

Sandıklı is a district in the province of Afyonkarahisar in southwest Turkey. Administrative center is the city of Sandıklı. The district is 1223 km ² and has 57 843 inhabitants ( census of 2012). It lies in the west of the province, bordering the province of Denizli. The city is located about 60 km south of the provincial capital of Afyonkarahisar on the D 650 to Burdur.

Sandıklı is surrounded by mountains. To the north is the mountain Ahirdağı, west of the Bulkazdağı, south of the Akdağı and east of the Kumalardağı. The place is known for its spas, which are about eight kilometers from the city center.
