History

In ancient times, the area was part of the province of Noricum. In the core Austrian state of Lower Austria lying the place informed the eventful history of Austria. The municipal seat of St. Martin am Ybbsfelde was first documented in 1147. In 1969, the church today through the merger of the municipalities of St Martin am Ybbsfelde and Karl Bach.
