Sara Carrigan

2004: Olympic champion in the road race

Sara Carrigan (born 7 September 1980 in Gunnedah, Australia) is an Australian cyclist.

Carrigan had her first appearance in a professional cycling race at the 1997 Oceania Championships. She drives for the Belgian professional cycling team " LOTTO LADIES TEAM BELISOL ". Up to the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens her greatest achievement was a fourth place in the road race at the 2002 World Cup in Zolder, Belgium. In Athens, she then won the gold medal in the road race before the German Judith Arndt.
