Saša Starović

Saša Starović ( Serbian Cyrillic Саша Старовић; born 19 October 1988 Gacko, Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian volleyball player.

Career

Starović began his career in 2005 in the club of his hometown in Bosnia today. A year later he moved to OK Budućnost Podgorica. With the new club, he won the 2007 Montenegrin championship. After the diagonal attacker debuted last year in the Serbian national team, he reached the third place in the European Championship with the team. In 2008 he defended in Podgorica the national title and went with the Serbs to the final of the World League. He then took part in the Olympic tournament, which ended for his team in the quarterfinals to eventual winners USA. 2009 was Serbia again in the World League finals. In the following season Starović played in Russia in the Ural Ufa at the World Cup 2010 Serbia with the diagonal attacker was third. Starović went to the Italian league to Andreoli Latina. In 2011 he won the title with Serbia at the European Championships. He then moved to ER within Italy San Giustino. He remained there only until the end of 2011. Late March 2012, the Diagonal attacker was obliged by league rivals Lube Macerata. 2012 Starović played with the national team at the Olympic Games in London.
