2008 FIVB Volleyball World League
The 2008 season of the Volleyball World League was the 19th edition of the competition. It began on June 13 and ended on July 27.
Mode
The preliminary ( " intercontinental round " ) was held in four groups of four teams. The group winners and hosts Brazil qualified for the final round. In addition, the FIVB awarded a wildcard to Japan. In the final round the teams were divided into two groups of three and played " all against all ". The top two teams from each group reached the semi-finals Final.
