2006 FIVB Volleyball World League
The 2006 season of the Volleyball World League was the 17th edition of the competition. It began on July 14 and ended on August 27. Brazil won the title for the sixth time.
Mode
The preliminary ( " intercontinental round " ) was held in four groups of four teams. The group winners and hosts Russia qualified for the final round. In addition, the FIVB awarded a wildcard. In the final round played on three days two teams in a group of three against each other. The third team, a group met on the third team in the other group. The top two teams from each group reached the semi-finals Final.
