2013 FIVB Volleyball World League
The 2013 season of the Volleyball World League was the 24th edition of the competition. It began on June 7 and ended on July 21. For the first time took 18 instead of the previous 16 teams participate. Russia won the title for the third time.
Mode
The preliminary ( " intercontinental round ") was carried out in three groups of six teams. In contrast to previous editions of the tournament this year met each team only once on his opponents, the three teams with a higher ranking in the world ranking had three home and two away games and the remaining two teams conducted two home and three away games. All group winners and runners-up from Group A and B and the hosts Argentina qualified for the final round. In the final round the teams were divided into two groups of three and played " all against all ". The top two teams from each group reached the semi-finals Final.
With a 3:0 or 3:1, there were three points for the winner and not the loser. In a 3-2 winner of the opponents received two points, one point.
