2009 FIVB Volleyball World League
The 2009 season of the Volleyball World League was the 20th edition of the competition. It began on June 12 and ended on July 26.
Mode
The preliminary ( " intercontinental round " ) was held in four groups of four teams. The group winners, the best runners and hosts Serbia qualified for the final round. In the final round the teams were divided into two groups of three and played " all against all ". The top two teams from each group reached the semi-finals Final.
With a 3:0 or 3:1, there were three points for the winner and not the loser. In a 3-2 winner of the opponents received two points, one point.
