As a single pattern, the SF had 27b 17 m span. The hull was derived from migratory IIIb and shortened somewhat similar to this is the steel tube fuselage in the front area covered with plastic in order to achieve a higher aerodynamic quality. The wings have a Wortmann profile and the elevator is designed as a floating elevator. The SF 27 only has a focus clutch which is used for aero tow and winch launch alike.
