The first flight of migratory bird I took place in 1954. The steel tube fuselage is covered at the front with plywood to a higher aerodynamic quality to achieve. The unset wing with 16.0 m span have a laminar profile and are highly swept the prototype forward to stay at Abkippverhalten on the safe side. The forward sweep was reduced in the following aircraft as the Abkippverhalten was within acceptable limits. The migratory bird I has a nose hook and a focus clutch, within the range migratory IIIA was dispensed with nose hook and exclusively used a focus clutch which is used for aero tow and winch launch alike. From migratory bird I 7 pieces were 3, according to other sources built.

The migratory II flew for the first time in October 1956. The wings are not swept back and be built with a box spar. The steel tube fuselage has become slightly shorter. For the ailerons no piano hinges are more used but single bearing what the reduced forces. From migratory II only 2 units were built.

In April 1957, the migratory bird flew III for the first time. The span is now 17.0 m. The migratory bird has a beginning runner, tail skid and a droppable two-wheeled chassis, a bow and an arranged next to the skid focus clutch. The migratory IIIA gives a solid central wheel size 4.00-4. Within the series migratory IIIA ( factory number 1052 ) is omitted, the nose hook and the blade and exclusively used a now middle -seated focus clutch which is used for aero tow and winch launch alike. For the migratory IIIB a lower hull is employed. From migratory III, IIIA and IIIB 86 units were built.
