Schleicher ASH 31

The Schleicher ASH 31 Mi is a single-seat glider the glider manufacturer Alexander Schleicher. She is the self-launch the successor to the ASH 26 E. Depending on the outer wing span makes it one of the 18 m class or with 21 meter span to open class.

History

The prototype of the ASH 31 Mi with the registration D - KUSA early 2009 was still under construction and has been completely upgraded to the AERO Friedrichshafen issued in 2009.

The first flight took place on 21 April 2009. Since the beginning of 2010, the ASH 31 Mi is built in series production.

Construction

As outer wings are part of the ASG -29 wings to use. It is driven by a rotary engine manufacturer Austro Engines equipped with Doppelzündanlage and electronic fuel injection. The engine unit is permanently mounted in the hull, the propeller tower can be in flight on and expanded. The propeller is manufactured by Schleicher himself.
