Schneibstein

The Schneibstein is a 2276 m above sea level. A. high mountain in Hagengebirge in the Berchtesgaden Alps on the border between Germany (Bavaria) and Austria (Salzburg).
Ascent
From northwest introduces from the Alps clubs classified as moderate mountain trail from Schneibsteinhaus or from the Carl-von- steel house on the upstream Devil walls to the summit. This path is towards the south on to the soul Insee under the Bald Mountain. In this way, the rare Alpine Ibex can be spotted. Over the hill also lead the popular skiing and hiking tours Small and Large Reibn. In the literature the Schneibstein was repeatedly referred to as " the lightest two thousand of the Berchtesgaden Alps".
