Geographical location

Schomberg is between Bad Love Bad Wildbad cell and on the Enz - Nagold - high board.

Community structure

The municipality Schomberg include the former municipalities Bieselsberg, long fire, Oberlengenhard and Schwarzenberg. For the former municipality Bieselsberg the village Bieselsberg and the houses are lower mill. Among the former municipalities of Long Brand and Oberlengenhard each include only the villages of the same name. For the former municipality includes the village of Schomberg, the place Bühlhof and the living space Charlottenhöhe. For the former town Schwarzenberg Schwarzenberg, the village and the place Schwarzenberger include Sagmuhle.

Bieselsberg

The district Bieselsberg situated on a hill in 570 MT NN. Through the pine forests in the area hiking trails lead to the popular destinations. The district is served by the bus route to Pforzheim in Schomberg ( line 743 ), it runs approximately every hour on working days.

Schwarzenberg

The district of Schwarzenberg is located in 620 MT NN surrounded by extensive pine forests with numerous hiking trails.

Schwarzenberg has bus connections to Schomberg, Calw, Bad Wildbad and Pforzheim. At the western entrance to the village there is a watchable stone circle. It was built in 1993 by an art teacher Werner Neumann as part of a school project by megalithic models. Presumably he is 21.6 m diameter of the largest in Germany.

Long fire

The health resort Lange fire extends to an altitude of 673-730 m above sea level. NN in the north Schömbergs. Worth seeing is the old village church with its medieval paintings and the Ostchorturm from the 11th - 12th Century. The 148 m high radio tower Lange fire, which can be seen from all the hills of the Black Forest, is on the boundary of the district.

Public transportation provides bus services to Pforzheim, Bad Wildbad, Neuenbürg and Calw.

Oberlengenhard

The village Oberlengenhard lies at 670 m above sea level. Sea level and is surrounded by forests with hiking paths. It is one of the last preserved in its traditional settlement structure Waldhufen villages. On a clear day the view from here of the Distant view of the Hohenzollern ( " Zollernblick " ) and the Swabian Alb.

Bus connections are available to Calw, Pforzheim, Bad Wildbad.

Charlottenhöhe

The Charlotte height is not really a village, but a former, lonely situated in the forest sanatorium, which belongs to the district Schomberg, and in 1907 set up as a popular health resort. Was named after Queen Charlotte of Württemberg.

Spatial development of the municipal area

On January 1, 1971, the municipality of Schwarzenberg was incorporated into Schomberg. On 1 July 1974, the place Tannmühle of Schomberg to Calmbach, today Bad Wildbad, umgemeindet. Today's church was re- formed on 1 January 1975 by the Association of Municipalities Schomberg, Bieselsberg, long fire and Oberlengenhard.

Religions

In each district there is a Protestant church in the hamlet of Schomberg addition, the Catholic Church of St. Joseph and a New Apostolic Church. In the district of Schwarzenberg is located next to a Protestant church and a United Methodist church and the house of salvation, the educational center of the community of Christians Ecclesia, a church member of the Federation of Pentecostal Churches.

Schomberg is located on the middle ground, a hiking route, which passes from Pforzheim to Waldshut on many attractions.

"Happiness community "

Since November 2009, Schomberg is officially registered " happiness community." The aim of the self-imposed happiness concept is to sustainably ensure the satisfaction and fulfillment happiness of the citizens. Inspiration are brought out here in the lucky partner Bhutan. With the country in the Himalayas, the community has established a lucky partnership since 2010. In the long term cultural and political exchanges lead to establish a happiness index in Schomberg, who, like the Gross National Happiness in Bhutan, the well-being of the population makes visible and appropriately influenced political decisions.
