School of Ferrara (painting)

Under the name Ferraneser School painters and illuminators are summarized sometimes in art history who follow the style of Cosimo Tura from Ferrara. Tura, born in 1430 in Ferrara and until his death in 1495 where he worked, was a painter and book illustrator of the early Italian Renaissance, known as the Quattrocento and his painting style was picked up by many of his disciples and other followers.
