Schottmalhorn from Edelweißlahnerkopf

Despite low dominance and prominence of the Schottmalhorn provides unexpectedly good panoramic view of the entire Reiter Alm and their summits. In addition, in the southeast watzmann and hochkalter, in the south Grossglockner and Leogang Mountains and to the west and north, including the outlook in the East Hohen Goll, Great Priel and Dachstein, the Chiemgau Alps with Sonntagshorn and Hochstaufen. Particularly impressive is the view down the Hintersee and Ramsau.

From the New Traunstein hut two marked trails lead to the Schottmalhorn, which can be connected to a circular tour.

  • By Steinberggasse and the rider Steinberg in 3 to 3.5 hours
