Schubert Gambetta

Schubert Gambetta (* April 14, 1920; † 9 August 1991 ) was a Uruguayan football player.

Club career

The defender played his club football primarily for Nacional. However, he was also a short time at the clubs Cúcuta Deportivo and Mar de Fondo under contract. During his time at Nacional, he was a total of ten times (1940, 1941, 1942, 1943, 1946, 1947, 1950, 1952, 1955 and 1956), the Uruguayan national champion title and in addition the Copa Aldao win in 1940 and 1946.

National

Gambetta was also a member of the national team of his native country, and took her part in the Football World Cup 1950. In this tournament, he won the world title with her.
