Schwarzenberg am Böhmerwald

Schwarzenberg at the Bohemian Forest is a municipality in the district of Rohrbach in Upper Austria in the upper Upper Austria with 629 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The municipality is located in the judicial district of Rohrbach.

Geography

The community of Black Mountain at Bohemian Forest is located on 756 m altitude in the upper Upper Austria. Their extent is 6.9 km from north to south, from west to east 8.2 km. The total area is 27.4 km ², of which 71.2 % is forested and 26.3 % of the area is used for agriculture.

The village itself is divided into the following districts: West Schwarzenberg, Reindl mill, under Schwarzenberg, Geiszeile, forest chapel and the center itself

Blazon: In green over a black, fringed by a silver bar Dreienberg a silvery, bell- shaped glass. The municipality colors are green and white and black.

History

Originally under the suzerainty of the Bishops of Passau, the place during the Napoleonic Wars was repeatedly inter alia, occupied by Bavaria. Since 1814, the place is definitely a thing to Upper Austria. After the annexation of Austria to the German Reich on 13 March 1938, the town belonged to the " Upper Danube ". After 1945 the restoration of Upper Austria. Black Mountain was in 1850 part of the judicial district of Aigen. 2003, the district court Aigen was dissolved and assigned the community the jurisdiction Rohrbach.

Population Development

In 1991 the community had 736 inhabitants according to the census, in 2001 then 695 inhabitants. On 1 st January 2010, the congregation had only 642 inhabitants. On 1 January 2012 the congregation had 630 inhabitants.

In contrast to the neighboring villages Klaffer and width Mountain, the number of inhabitants and the population density of Schwarzenberg is low.

Ski resort

  • The northernmost ski resort in Upper Austria is the Hochficht ski area. The lying in Klaffer area Hochficht was extended to Schwarzenberg out.
  • Cross through the town also lead cross-country skiing.

Sports

The population of the town emphasizes curling, cycling, beach volleyball and of course the alpine skiing.

  • Every year there is a Schwarzenberger Ortscup the curling club.
  • Every year takes place the Schwarzenberger beach volleyball tournament at the swimming pool area in summer. This has been organized since 2008 by the Youth Sport Schwarzenberg. Since 2011 there is a separate section.
  • Every year in winter, the Schwarzenberg Schwarzenberg giant slalom on the train ( high Ficht ) instead. Promoted by the Sports Union Schwarzenberg, Section Alpine Skiing.
  • Every year the so-called International 6h Bohemian Forest mountain bike race held in Schwarzenberg. One of the most visited and most stressful for athletes hour race in the region.

Regular events

The so-called " Budlhaumfest " in Oberschwarzenberg is a tent festival, which takes place on the large area of the inn triangle. Every year in July this great festival is discharged and is due to the boundary layer, even at the German neighbors very popular. Every year at open-air about 1,000 spectators.
