Schwerdorff
Schwerdorff is a commune with 452 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the canton Bouzonville in Moselle in the Lorraine region. Since 1990 there is a community partnership with the German Oberesch.
Geography
The place is situated on the German - French border. The German neighboring community is Rehlingen- Siersburg, district Fürweiler.
The municipality of the village Schwerdorff itself and the two hamlets Cottendorff heard in the north and in the east Otzwiller.
History
Schwerdorff and Fürweiler were connected by a bridge, which was destroyed in the Second World War. The reconstruction took place only in the year 1999 under the Friendship Bridge project.

Cottendorff plays the main role in the documentary film "Greetings from Cottendorf " (D 2006, 40 min ) the director Nikola Wyrwich, which was shown in 2007 at the Film Festival Max Ophüls Prize in Saarbrücken.
