Scott Clemmensen

Scott Clemmensen ( born July 23, 1977 in Des Moines, Iowa) is an American professional ice hockey goaltender who stands since 2009 with the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League under contract since 2014 and plays for the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League.

Career

The 1.91 m wide goalie played during his junior time at the Des Moines Buccaneers in the United States Hockey League. NHL Entry Draft 1997 Clemmensen was chosen as 215 in the eighth round of the New Jersey Devils, but first spent his college years in the squad of the team of Boston College, where he stood in the play mode of the National Collegiate Athletic Association between the posts. Overall, he won three championships with the University team of hockey East and even the state championship the NCAA what he was involved with his tremendous efforts and was elected to the All- Star team of the tournament.

Already in the 2001/ 02 season, the Americans completed his first NHL inserts for the Devils, who at the same time put him even with their farm team, the Albany River Rats in the American Hockey League. With the Marlies Clemmensen reached the play-off final of the AHL Western Conference, but which lost the team with 1-4 games against the Chicago Wolves. For the season 2008/ 09, the Americans returned to the New Jersey Devils in their NHL squad, he was appointed after eight games.

Internationally

Clemmensen participated with the U.S. national team at the World Championships in 2009 and 2010. At the 2009 World Championships he was third in the Team USA goalie Robert Esche and behind Al Montoya. This remained Clemmensen without use. A year later he was called back into the squad and came as a goalkeeper for six missions in which he reached a quota of 94.1 percent and a shutout.
