Scott Redding

Scott Redding (born 4 January 1993 in Quedgeley, England ) is a British motorcycle racer.

After successes in the Spanish championship Redding started in 2008 with Blusens Aprilia first time in the motorcycle world championship in the 125cc class. His first Grand Prix victory he won the Grand Prix of Great Britain from the fourth starting position. With fifteen years and 170 days he was the youngest GP winner to date. He finished the season starting in eleventh place overall and was named Rookie of the Year. 2009 was a third place at Donington his best result.

For the 2010 season, Redding moved to the MarcVDS Racing team in the Moto2 class. In Indianapolis, he was able to pull in third place. At the Grand Prix of San Marino, he was one of the two drivers who could not avoid after a fall Shoya Tomizawa and rolled over him, whereupon Tomizawa died. Redding suffered thereby no serious injuries.
