Sean Douglas

Sean Douglas ( born May 8, 1972 in Auckland ) is a New Zealand soccer player who currently plays for Eastern Suburbs AFC and was active until 2001 for the New Zealand national football team.

Career

Douglas began his career at the Tyrwhitt animal Soccer 1994. During the same year, he moved to Denmark at Lyngby BK where he played until 1995. Then he returned to his home country to the Gippsland Falcons. In 1997, he signed a contract with Charlton SC, where he graduated in 2001 84 games until the dissolution of the club. This was followed by engagements with the Football Kingz, Waitakere United and Auckland City FC before he moved to Team Wellington in the summer of 2007, for which he still plays today.

With the New Zealand national football team Douglas could win the 1998 OFC Nations Cup. In total he played between 2000 and 2001 24 caps.
