Sean Gagnon

Sean Gagnon ( born September 11, 1973 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player (defender), who from 1997 to 2006 for the Phoenix Coyotes and Ottawa Senators in the National Hockey League and the Lusatian foxes in the second Bundesliga.

Career

As a junior he played for the Sudbury Wolves, Ottawa 67 's and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in the Ontario Hockey League. With the Greyhounds, he won the 1993 Memorial Cup.

After he was not taken into account in the NHL Entry Draft, he played as a senior first for the Dayton Bombers in the East Coast Hockey League and later for the Fort Wayne Komets of the International Hockey League. In 1997, he signed as a free agent with the Phoenix Coyotes, in the 1997/98 season predominantly in their AHL farm team, the Springfield Falcons, put him. In the NHL, he was only five appearances. Similarly, the following year, which won him two more NHL bets, he played mostly in Springfield.

1999 he spent one season to Finland Jokerit, prior to signing in the NHL with the Ottawa Senators. Here he came, however, only five games and was used mostly in the IHL with the Grand Rapids Griffins. In the summer of 2001, the senator gave him for Jason Doig and Jeff Ulmer from the New York Rangers. Also there was his home, the AHL farm team. After a year at the Hartford Wolf Pack and another with the San Antonio Rampage, he went in 2003 for two games to Russia Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk. The rest of the season 2003/ 04 he spent change the Flint Generals ( UHL ), Utah Grizzlies ( AHL ) and St. John 's Maple Leafs ( AHL ).

From 2004, he spent two seasons in the Bundesliga 2 in the Lusatian foxes.
